Parody by JustinS (2021)

Weak

For this project, I worked with Nicholas Te. Our inspiration mainly stemmed from Minecraft, which we used to play a lot when we were younger. We thought that it would be fun to revisit the theme in a fun way. Our parody is good because the lyrics make sense, to those who are familiar with the game, and we sang it somewhat decently. Also, the vocals sound like they could belong with the background music. This makes the parody seem like a whole, rather than two parts unsuccessfully shoved together. I’m proud of our final product, because I personally don’t think that it sounds too bad. But sometimes, when dealing with parodies, worse is better. I really enjoyed learning how to edit and add effects to audio. Although, I think that it’s very different from visual and video editing, understandably so. The two have completely different potentials and uses, but both can be very powerful if used and done correctly.
